Telemiracle 2022
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all students, parents and staff for being so generous this record setting Telemiracle year at WCS and in our great province.
Here is one of the many special stories from our Telemiracle fundraising this year. We know there are many others as we have all been touched by Telemiracle over the almost 50 years it has been part of the fabric of our prairie culture - people helping people - so thank you to everyone for a great Telemiracle year!
WCS was holding a challenge between classrooms to raise funds for Telemiracle. Charlize and Brie Hallberg's aunty, Wendy Johnson, passed away this past year and was a big supporter of Telemiracle.
At one time she was a Kinnette's member and answered phones on the big stage of Telemiracle. This knowledge prompted Brie to take the lead in fundraising and contacted friends and family. In memory of their Aunty Wendy,
Charlize and Brie raised over $500 and posted "Wendy J" on each and every one of their telemiracle hands that were displayed in the halls of WCS.
WCS was able to set a new school donation record to Telemiracle this year - $4757.75 – as a result of our students, families and staff taking time to support this great cause. Thank you one and all!
