Red Dress Day
Honouring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S)
How we can honour them:
- Wear red
- Hang or display a red dress
- Take a moment of silence
- Learn, listen, and share their stories
- Show respect and support to Indigenous communities
What is Red Dress Day?
Red Dress Day is a day to remember and honour Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people who are missing or have been murdered. Indigenous women and girls face higher rates of violence in Canada. Many families are still searching for answers and justice.
The red dress is a powerful symbol—representing those who are no longer here and the lives that matter.
We stand together to raise awareness, remember, and call for change.
